An expert Expedition Team accompanies each cruise and provides lectures on geography, history, wildlife and more – both onboard and onshore.

Destinations: Antarctica, Svalbard (Arctic Norway), Greenland, Norway, Iceland, Europe, North America (Northeast US and Atlantic Canada), South America (Andean coast plus Galapagos Islands), Northwest Passage, Russia and Alaska

Celebrity Galapagos

Overview: Celebrity offers luxury expedition cruising to the Galapagos Islands. And, it’s all-inclusive: twice daily guided shore landings and excursions, expert lectures, complimentary use of equipment such as snorkeling gear and binoculars. Celebrity has four ships dedicated to the Galapagos – the Xpedition, Xperience, Xploration and the Flora (set to sail in May 2019). All ships carry under 100 passengers for a very intimate, unique travel experience.

Destinations: The Galapagos Islands. Longer itineraries include visits to Quito, Ecuador and Lima, Peru (for Machu Picchu).

Scenic Eclipse

Overview: Called the “World’s First Discovery Yacht” by Scenic cruises (best known for luxury river cruising), the Scenic Eclipse is small-ship, over-the-top, luxury ocean cruising. It’s also all-inclusive, including butler service for every guest. There are nine dining venues, all-verandah suite accommodations, unlimited complimentary beverages, swimming pools, spa and fitness facilities. Despite all the luxurious amenities, the Eclipse, at its heart, is a ship built for discovery. It has a Polar Class 6 rating, the highest passenger ship ice-class rating to navigate in challenging seas safely. Expedition equipment is included in the cruise fare, but for an additional fee, passengers can explore using the ships’ helicopter or explore under the sea in the Eclipse’s submarine. The Eclipse set sails in April 2019.

Destinations: Mediterranean and Northern Europe, Canadian Maritimes, the Baltics, Panama, Columbia and Cuba, Iceland, Greenland, Norwegian Fjords, and of course, the Arctic and Antarctica.

AAA Member Benefit: $200 onboard credit per stateroom.
